Our servers are connected to the internet via a 10 Megabit circuit that has the ability to transmit up to 10 megabits per second.
The servers have 2 Xeon processors, 4 Gigabytes of RAM, and 120 Giga Bytes of storage on RAID 1 Arrays. The average load our systems is between 0.02 and 0.08 percent.
The secure Data Center is connected to a UPS that can sustain power for 14 days. If power were to fail for over 14 days, the 2 generators in the rear of the building would run. The generators can run for 720 days (2 years) before running out of fuel. If by this time they have not restored power to the building, we all are probably dead anyway.
The servers are mirrored to 4 other servers across the Internet. 2 sets of tape/dvd backups are made on the 1st and on the 15th of each month.
