We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Call us at 837.3334 if you would like us to come pick up your donation (in the Bigfork area).
The drive ends December 21st.

This Halloween BigforkWeb will have a table in front of the Bigfork Inn during the trick-or-treating festivities downtown from 4-6 pm. We will be offering hot chocolate to trick-or-treaters and parents in need of a little warmth as well as giving out Halloween coloring pages and crayons. If you won’t be in the downtown area for trick-or-treating this Halloween, you can still download our coloring pages and color them in at home. BigforkWEB would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween.
There’s a biting morning chill in the air and even though most of our days are filled with sun we can feel the change in season. In Kalispell the street cleaning to pick up fallen leaves has already begun, which is fortunate because my trees decided winter began last weekend. If you haven’t started already you might want to think about winterizing your home.
At my house we’re pulling out the mower and weedeater for one last cutting, pruning the raspberries and other plants, changing our heating filters and cleaning out our garage to make room for the barbeque and other summer gear.
I’ve been living in an apartment for the last few years, so I didn’t exactly know all the steps to winterizing my home. Below is a list of resources I used to get up-to-date on how to winterize your home and yard.
Like so many who have settled here in the Flathead Valley, I come from afar, have lived many places and now truly feel at home. I spent many years moving about the country, always with painful homesick longing for my home in Maine. A place of unmatched beauty with hundreds of years of history, it is a nest that nurtures grounded, hardworking fishing families as well as cultured cosmopolitan world travelers and artists.
Arriving in the Flathead Valley, I was immediately taken by its beauty and quickly caught up in its endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Discovering Bigfork, I found small-town living, uptown art and a sense of community. My painful longing for my birthplace ceased for the first time in 17 years, and I found myself HOME.
